THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES THAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF THE RESTAURANT MANAGER, INCLUDES:
- You will manage a restaurant and lead staff in serving customers with dining as well as takeaway and catering orders.
- Taking reservations, handling customer inquiries and complaints, greet and assist customers.
- Set the prices, manage stock effectively and take measures starting with buying, ordering and maintaining good level of stock at all times.
- Manage and supervise the Bar area, ensure rules are followed and Bar is
effectively managed. - Regularly review food quality, research and plan new menus.
- Plan menu with the Chef and Management – Organize special functions and ensure it goes on smoothly.
- Choose the most economic supplier to buy the stocks – Maintain the records of stock levels and financial transactions.
- Schedule shifts and manage staff roster.
- Promote the brand in the local community -Select, recruit, train and mentor the new hire.
- Ensure that the business and dining facility comply with health regulations and always maintained in a clean condition.
- Check with customers if they are satisfied with the food and the services offered.
- Sound level of product knowledge and most importantly keen to learn and update with time.
- Working on the floor as part of a roster to lead by example and provide expertise through knowledge.
NOTE:
The successful candidate should have LCQ or Manager’s certificate, Customer service experience Knowledge of cash management and bookkeeping procedures. Team management skills Strong organizational skills Experience with facilities maintenance and/or security Strong problem-solving skills.
Availability to work in shifts including weekends. A hourly rate of $25- $30 will be offered. The successful candidate will be contacted for an interview.

service experience at-least 1 year Indian restaurant experience and has done a
management course at-least level 6 or level 7 also focus on attracting customers and
someone who has a can-do attitude

- Preparation of all Indian and authentic Indian cuisines. Curry and tandoor experience preferred
- Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays
- Controlling the food preparation process and any other relative activities
- Assist the Head Chef in changing menus timely when required as per the demand and other duties
- Introducing new dishes to the menu with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
- Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Cleaning the kitchen and storage area and make sure about health and safety of customer and staff
- Complete work in timely manner and ensure all cooking procedures are efficient and economical
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
- Regular stock rotation is maintained
- Arrange for repairs when necessary
- Remedy any problems or defects
- Check and monitor food wastage and make necessary measures to minimize and timely inform Head Chef or Management about it
- Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
